The launch of our MODULYS system on market has seen a number of very intense moments during the course of year.
Thanks to thecollaboration of all of our colleagues in the various subsidiary offices and

2001 has been a very satisfactory year for us. The launch of the new MODULYS product has been the focus of our efforts over the course of the year and, as a consequence, we have been busy on a number of different fronts developing this product, from inception through to information and finally to the communication stage.

This communication stage truly becomes an event when the launch of a new product range is combined with the full weight of a company that is truly an international player. Fortunately, towards the end of the year the workload the BU has to face becomes more and more manageable, but there are still a number of very important tasks that need to be completed, such as the publication of this microGAZETTE, for instance.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight just one event, a very sidnificant one nevertheless, just concluded here at Villaverla. During the month of November, eighteen people from all over the world took part in a week of intensive training joinity organised by all the BU. Those who took part on this training course were "updated" on old and new products, and recieved further specific information on subjects that were interest to all.

At the end of the week, a look of genuine satisfaction at the results achivied could be observed on the tired faces of those who had participated or taught on the course. The BU would like to take this opportunity, therefore, to thank all those who took part, and hope that all those who were unable to make it this time will be able to come to the next appointment, which will obviously arranged for next year.

It's almost gone, and we can measure the tremendous efforts achivied during this year by various company department to put MODULYS on the market.

Internal launch for sales in April, Europian customer launch in May, various seminars in all parts of the world, from june to december, special modulys.com web designed with the support of COM department in Benfeld, complete sales kit including products details, competition analysis and sales arguments...

Most of us are exhausted, and in the mean time very proud about the result.

Since the begining of the project in April 1999, we have always been sharply focused to build the best product for our customers. It is now exciting to see that results are there.

The big success of MODULYS systems, specialy proves our right target, and meet high customer demand. Since last September, we are receving several requests per day. We have already delivered systems to customers in many countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, Sweden...

It is important to underlign that we complete on a lot of project for several unit sales of MODULYS systems, thus bringing us new potential for microUPS turnover.

In this respect, 2002 will definetley be MODULYS year. We have a very good product, customer are realy interested, competition is not there, so let's sell it and take market share. Despite uncertain economic environment, the customers are ready to invest in microUPS. We will close 2001 on budget, thanks to good results on the whole UPS-ENTERPRISE range and thanks to the the first impact of MODULYS sales.
